Zuhayr narrated to us, Yunus narrated to us, Layth narrated to us, Sa'id narrated to me, from his father, that he heard Abu Sa'id al-Khudri saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When the funeral is placed and the men carry it upon their necks, if it is righteous, it says: 'Take me forward, take me forward.' And if it is not righteous, it says: 'Woe to it! Where are they taking it?' Everything hears its voice except for man, and if man were to hear it, he would swoon."
