Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, Salim and Abdullah ibn Sahban and Kathir al-Nawa and Ibn Abi Layla narrated to us, from Atiyyah, from Abu Sa’id, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, the people of the high ranks are seen by those below them just as you see the rising star in the horizon of the sky. And indeed, Abu Bakr and Umar are among them, and how excellent they are."
