Zuhayr narrated to us, Yazid bin Harun narrated to us, Hisham bin Hassan narrated to us, from Muhammad bin Sirin, from Abu al-Alaniyah, who said: We asked Abu Sa’id al-Khudri about the nabidh (fermented drink) of the jar. He said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) forbade the nabidh of the jar. He said: We said, "Then the jaf (hollowed-out wood/gourd)?" He said: "That is worse."
