Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 42:358

From Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, that he heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Indeed, when Allah is pleased with a servant, He praises him with nine types of goodness that he did not do. And when He is displeased with a servant, He praises him with nine types of evil that he did not do."
