Zuhayr narrated to us, Mu'adh ibn Hisham narrated to us, from his father, from Qatadah, from Abu Nadrah, from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade making nabidh (a fermented drink) in green glazed jars (hantam), gourds (duba'), and hollowed-out logs (naqir). He also forbade mixing unripe dates (zahw) with ripe dates (tamr), and raisins (zabib) with ripe dates (tamr).
