Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 42:37

Abu Bakr narrated to us, Abu Usamah narrated to us, from al-Walid ibn Kathir, Sa’id ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Sa’id al-Khudri narrated to me, that ‘Abd al-Rahman narrated to him, from his father, Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, that he heard the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) saying: "Indeed, I have made sacred what is between the two lava fields of Medina, just as Ibrahim made Mecca sacred." He said: Then Abu Sa’id would find one of us with a bird in his hand that he had caught, so he would take it from his hand and release it.
