From the Musnad of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (RA)
Hadith 42:381
Zuhayr narrated to us, Mu‘alla ibn Mansur narrated to us, ‘Abd al-‘Aziz ibn Muhammad informed me, Dawud ibn Salih informed me, from his father, from Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri, who said: A Nabataean came from al-Sham with thirty camels [laden with] barley and dates during the time of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. He set the price at one mudd for a dirham, according to the mudd of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and there was no other food among the people at that time. The people complained to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, about the high price. So the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, delivered a sermon and said: "Beware, I would rather meet Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He, before I give anyone any of another person's wealth without his own consent."
