Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 128:6

Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, Ibn Abi Ubaydah narrated to us, from his father, from al-A’mash, from Abu Sufyan, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out to us one day while he was angry, and we thought that Gabriel (peace be upon him) was with him, until he ascended the pulpit. I have never seen a day with more weeping and covering of faces. He said: "Ask me, for by Allah, you will not ask me about anything except that I will inform you of it." A man stood up and said: "O Messenger of Allah, who is my father?" He said: "Your father is Hudhafah, whom you are attributed to." Another man stood up to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, am I in Paradise or in the Fire?" He said: "In the Fire." A man stood up to him and said: "O Messenger of Allah, is Hajj upon us every year?" He said: "If I had said yes, it would have become obligatory, and if it had become obligatory, you would not have been able to perform it, and if you had not performed it, you would have been punished." Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "We are pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as a religion, and with Muhammad as a Prophet. Do not disgrace us with our secrets, and pardon us, may Allah pardon you." He said: Then his anger subsided. He then turned toward the wall and said: "I have not seen the like of today in terms of good and evil; I was shown Paradise and the Fire behind this wall."
