Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 45:12

Abu al-Rabi' al-Zahrani narrated to us, Hammad bin 'Amr al-Jazari narrated to us, Zayd bin Rafi' narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Anas, from Abu Talhah, who said: I came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and his face was beaming with joy. I said: "O Messenger of Allah, you are in a state such as I have never seen you in before." He said: "And what would prevent me? Gabriel came to me and said: 'Give glad tidings to your nation: whoever sends blessings upon you once, Allah will record for him ten good deeds because of it, erase from him ten evil deeds because of it, raise him ten degrees because of it, and Allah will respond to him with the like of what he said, and it will be presented to him on the Day of Resurrection.'"
