Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 149:27

Mus'ab ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Mus'ab al-Zubayri narrated to us, Ibn al-Darawardi narrated to me, from Musa ibn 'Uqbah, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, from 'A'ishah, that the Prophet (peace be upon him) saw a young boy upon whom they had performed *'alaq* (a treatment for throat inflammation). He said: "Why do you kill your children? You must use Indian incense (*al-qist al-hindi*) with water, then let him inhale it through the nose."
