Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 149:38

Dāwūd ibn ʿAmr al-Ḍabbī narrated to us, Ḥassān ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to us, Hishām ibn ʿUrwah narrated to us, from ʿUrwah, from ʿĀʾishah, who said: "I used to twist the garlands for the sacrificial animals of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Then he would send the sacrificial animals while he remained with us, not avoiding anything that the *muḥrim* (pilgrim in the state of iḥrām) avoids." It reached us that Ziyād sent a sacrificial animal and stripped off his clothes [as if in iḥrām]. She said: "Did he have a Kaaba to circumambulate when he wore the clothes? For we do not know of anyone for whom clothes are forbidden and then become permissible for him until he circumambulates the Kaaba."
