Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 149:65

Ishaq narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Urwah, from Aisha, who said: A group of Jews asked for permission to enter upon the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and they said, "As-sam (death) be upon you." Aisha said: So I said, "Upon you be death and the curse." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "O Aisha, indeed Allah loves gentleness in all matters." She said: I said, "Did you not hear what they said?" He said, "I said, 'And upon you.'"
