Al-Abbas ibn al-Walid narrated to us, Yahya ibn Sulaym narrated to us, from Abdullah ibn Uthman ibn Khuthaym, from Abdullah ibn Abi Mulaykah, he said: I heard Aisha saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying while he was among his companions: "I am your forerunner at the Basin (al-Hawd), waiting for those of you who will come to me. By Allah, men will surely be cut off before me, so I will say: 'O Lord, from me and from my nation!' It will be said: 'You do not know what they innovated after you; they continued to turn back on their heels.'"
