الأعرج عن أبي هريرة
Hadith 159:112
Al-Hasan ibn Isma'il Abu Sa'id narrated to us, Ibrahim narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Ata' ibn Yazid, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The people said, "O Messenger of Allah, will we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection?" The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Are you harmed in seeing the sun when there is no cloud beneath it? Are you harmed in seeing the moon on the night of the full moon?" They said, "No." He said, "Likewise you will see Him. Allah will gather the people on the Day of Resurrection and say, 'Whoever used to worship something, let him follow it.' So those who used to worship the sun will follow the sun, those who used to worship the moon will follow the moon, and those who used to worship the false deities will follow the false deities, until this nation remains, with its intercessors in it. The Bridge (al-Sirat) will be set up between the two sides of Hell. Then I will be called, and I will be the first to speak, and no one will speak on that day except the messengers. The prayer of the messengers on that day will be, 'O Allah, grant safety, grant safety.' On the bridge are hooks like the thorns of the Sa'dan. Have you seen the Sa'dan?" They said, "Yes." He said, "It is like the thorns of the Sa'dan, except that no one knows the extent of its size except Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. It will snatch the people according to their deeds. Among them is the believer who is saved by his deed, and among them is the one who is recompensed," or a word similar to it that Ibrahim did not memorize. "Until, when Allah finishes the judgment between the servants, He will command the angels to bring out of the Fire those who did not associate anything with Allah, from among those whom Allah intends to have mercy upon. They will bring them out, and they will recognize them by the marks of prostration. Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, has forbidden the Fire to consume the marks of prostration. So water of life will be poured upon them," or he said, "from the water of life, and they will sprout as the seed sprouts in the silt of the flood." "A man will remain, facing the Fire with his face, saying, 'O Lord, turn my face away; its wind has scorched me and its smoke has burned me.' He will say, 'Do you see, if I grant you that, will you ask Me for anything else?' He will say, 'No, by Your Might.' So he will give Allah whatever He wills of covenants and pledges. He will continue to supplicate until his face is turned away from the Fire. When he turns his face toward Paradise, he will remain silent for as long as Allah wills him to remain silent. Then he will say, 'O Lord, bring me forward to the gate of Paradise.' Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will say, 'Woe to you, O son of Adam, how treacherous you are! Did you not give Me your covenants and pledges that you would not ask Me for anything other than what I gave you?' He will continue to supplicate until He says, 'Is it expected that if I grant you that, you will ask Me for something else?' So he will give his Lord whatever He wills of covenants and pledges that he will not ask Him for anything else. So He will bring him forward to the gate of Paradise. When he stands at the gate of Paradise, Paradise will open up for him, and he will see what is in it of splendor and joy. He will remain silent for as long as Allah wills him to remain silent. Then he will say, 'O Lord, admit me into Paradise.' He will say, 'O son of Adam, how treacherous you are! Did you not give Me your covenants and pledges that you would not ask Me for anything other than what I gave you?' He will say, 'O Lord, do not let me be the most miserable of Your creation.' He will continue to supplicate and ask Him until it is said to him, 'Enter Paradise.' It will be said to him, 'Wish,' so he will wish until Allah reminds him of such-and-such, until when his wishes are exhausted, He will say, 'This is for you, and the like of it.'"
حدثنا الحسن بن إسماعيل أبو سعيد حدثنا إبراهيم عن الزهري عن عطاء بن يزيد عن أبي هريرة قال قال الناس * يا رسول الله هل نرى ربنا يوم القيامة قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم هل تضارون في رؤية الشمس ليس دونها سحاب هل تضارون في القمر ليلة البدر قالوا لا قال كذلك ترونه يجمع الله الناس يوم القيامة فيقول من كان يعبد شيئا فليتبعه فيتبع من كان يعبد الشمس الشمس ومن كان يعبد القمر القمر ومن كان يعبد الطواغيت الطواغيت حتى تبقى هذه الأمة فيها شفعاؤها ويضرب الصراط بين ظهراني جهنم ثم أدعى فأكون أول من يتكلم ولا يتكلم يومئذ إلا الرسل ودعوى الرسل يومئذ اللهم سلم سلم وفي الجسر كلاليب مثل شوك السعدان هل رأيتم السعدان قالوا نعم قال فإنه مثل شوك السعدان غير أنه لا يدري ما قدر عظمه إلا الله عز وجل يخطف الناس بأعمالهم منهم المؤمن ودي بعمله ومنهم المجازى أو كلمة تشبهها لم يحفظها إبراهيم حتى إذا فرغ الله من القضاء بين العباد أمر الملائكة أن يخرجوا من النار من كان لا يشرك بالله شيئا ممن أراد الله أن يرحمه فيخرجونهم فيعرفونهم بآثار السجود وحرم الله عز وجل على النار أن تأكل آثار السجود فيصب عليهم ماء الحياة أو قال من ماء الحياة فينبتون كما تنبت الحبة في حميل السيل ويبقى رجل مقبل بوجهه على النار يقول يا رب اصرف وجهي سفعني ريحها وأحرقني دخانها فيقول هل رأيت إن أعطيتك ذلك أن تسألني غيره فيقول لا وعزتك فيعطي الله ما شاء من عهود ومواثيق فلا يزال يدعو حتى يصرف وجهه عن النار فإذا أقبل بوجهه إلى الجنة سكت ما شاء الله أن يسكت ثم يقول يا رب قدمني إلى باب الجنة فيقول الله عز وجل ويحك أو ويلك بن آدم ما أغدرك ألم تعطني عهودك ومواثيقك أن لا تسألني غير ما أعطيتك فلا يزال يدعو حتى يقول هل عسيت إن أعطيتك ذلك أن تسألني غيره فيعطي ربه ما شاء من عهود ومواثيق أن لا يسأله غيره فيقدمه إلى باب الجنة فإذا قام على باب الجنة تفهقت له الجنة فرأى ما فيها من الحبرة والسرور فسكت ما شاء الله أن يسكت ثم يقول يا رب أدخلني الجنة فيقول يا بن آدم ما أغدرك ألم تعطني عهودك ومواثيقك أن لا تسألني غير ما أعطيتك فيقول يا رب لا أكون أشقى خلقك ولا يزال يدعو ويسأله حتى قيل له ادخل الجنة فيقال له تمن فيتمنى حتى إن الله يذكره من كذا وكذا حتى إذا انقضت به الأماني قال لك هذا ومثله
