Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 159:57

Wahb narrated to us, Khalid informed us, from Abd al-Rahman, from Abu al-Zinad, from al-A'raj, from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "Leave me as I have left you, for those who were before you were only destroyed by their excessive questioning and their disagreement with their prophets. So, whatever I have forbidden you from, avoid it; and whatever I have commanded you to do, perform of it as much as you are able."
