Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 106:10

Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Jarir narrated to us, from Fitr, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Bara’, who said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would set out on a journey, he would say: "O Allah, a provision that reaches goodness, a forgiveness from You, and a pleasure. In Your hand is all goodness; indeed, You are over all things competent. O Allah, You are the Companion in the journey and the Successor in the family. O Allah, make the journey easy for us and fold the earth for us. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of the journey and the gloominess of the return."
