Ziyad ibn Ayyub narrated to us, Abu Yahya al-Hammani narrated to us, Malik ibn Mighwal, al-Hasan ibn 'Umarah, and Fitr narrated to us, from Isma'il ibn Raja', from Aws ibn Dam'aj, from al-Bara' ibn 'Azib, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, saying: "Adorn the Qur'an with your voices."
