Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 164:2

Al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA)

Hadith 164:2

Ibrahim ibn al-Hajjaj narrated to us, Sakin narrated to us, he said: And my father narrated to me, from Khalid ibn Jabir, from his father, from al-Hasan ibn Ali, the like of this, and he added in it: "And in it, repentance was accepted from the Children of Israel." And he said: "By Allah, no one who was before him surpassed him, and no one who was after him reached him. And if the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, would send him on a military expedition, Gabriel would be on his right and Michael on his left." "By Allah, he did not leave behind gold or silver, except for eight hundred or seven hundred dirhams which he had set aside for a servant he was going to buy."
