From the Musnad of al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam (RA)
Hadith 5:6
Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, my father narrated to me, from Ibn Ishaq, who said: 'Abdullah ibn 'Ata' ibn Ibrahim, the freed slave of al-Zubayr, narrated to me, from his mother and his grandmother, Umm 'Ata', that they both said: "By Allah, it is as if we are looking at al-Zubayr ibn al-'Awwam when he came to us on a white mule of his and said: 'O Umm 'Ata', the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) has forbidden the Muslims from eating the meat of their sacrificial animals (nusuk) beyond three [days], so do not eat it.' I said: 'O Prophet of Allah, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you, what shall we do with what has been gifted to us?' He said: 'As for what has been gifted to you, then it is your affair.'"
