Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 118:81

Abu Bakr ibn Zanjawayh narrated to us, from Abu Salih, from al-Layth, from Yunus, from al-Zuhri, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: Abu Dharr used to narrate to him from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) that he said: "The roof of my house was opened while I was in Makkah, and Jibril (peace be upon him) descended. He opened my chest, then washed it with the water of Zamzam. Then he brought a golden basin filled with wisdom and faith, and he poured it into my chest, then he closed it. Then he took my hand and ascended with me to the heaven. When he reached the lowest heaven, Jibril said to the keeper of the heaven, 'Open.' He said, 'Who is this?' He said, 'Jibril.' He said, 'Is there anyone with you?' He said, 'Yes.' He said, 'Has he been sent for?' He said, 'Yes.' So he opened it. When we ascended above the lowest heaven, there was a man sitting, with black shapes on his right and black shapes on his left. When he looked to his right, he smiled, and when he looked to his left, he wept. He said, 'Welcome to the righteous Prophet and the righteous son.' I said to Jibril, 'Who is this?' He said, 'This is Adam, and these black shapes on his right and on his left are his offspring. Those on the right are the people of Paradise, and the black shapes on his left are the people of the Fire. So when he looks to the right, he laughs, and when he looks to his left, he weeps.'" He said: "Then Jibril ascended with me until he reached the second heaven. He said to its keeper, 'Open.' Its keeper said to him the same as what the keeper of the lowest heaven had said, so he opened it." Anas said: He mentioned that he found in the heavens Adam, Idris, Musa, Isa, and Ibrahim, but he did not clarify their stations, except that he mentioned he found Adam in the lowest heaven and Ibrahim in the sixth heaven. Anas said: "When Jibril and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) passed by Idris, he said, 'Welcome to the righteous Prophet and the righteous brother.' I said, 'Who is this?' He said, 'This is Idris.' Then I passed by Musa, and he said, 'Welcome to the righteous Prophet and the righteous brother.' I said, 'Who is this?' He said, 'This is Musa.' Then I passed by Isa, and he said, 'Welcome to the righteous Prophet and the righteous brother.' I said, 'Who is this?' He said, 'This is Isa.' Then I passed by Ibrahim, and he said, 'Welcome to the righteous Prophet and the righteous son.' I said, 'Who is this?' He said, 'This is Ibrahim.'"
