Ubayd Allah ibn Umar narrated to us, Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-A’mash and Mansur, from Abu al-Duha, from Shutayr ibn Shakl, from Ali, who said: The polytheists distracted us on the Day of the Confederates (al-Ahzab) from the middle prayer. The middle prayer is the afternoon prayer (Salat al-Asr). May Allah fill their graves, their houses, and their bellies with fire.
