Zuhayr narrated to us, Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from Zayd ibn Athi‘, who said: We asked ‘Ali, "For what were you sent?" He said: "I was sent for four things: That no naked person shall circumambulate the House, that no polytheist shall enter the Sacred Precinct, and whoever has a treaty between him and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), then it is until its term, and whoever has no treaty, then he has a period of four months. And no soul shall enter Paradise except a believing soul." Zuhayr said: "This is how Zayd ibn Athi‘ said it, but it is actually Ibn Yathi‘."
