Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 3:229

Muhammad ibn Isma'il ibn Abi Samina al-Basri narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Khalid al-Hanafi narrated to us, Musa ibn Ya'qub al-Zam'i narrated to us, from Abu al-Huwayrith, from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mut'im, from Ali ibn Abi Talib, who said: I was at a well on the day of Badr, drawing water from it, when a strong wind came. Then a wind came that was very, very strong; I had not seen a wind stronger than it, except for the one that was before it. Then a third strong wind came. The first was Michael with a thousand angels on the right of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The second was Israfil with a thousand angels on the left of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace. The third was Gabriel with a thousand angels. Abu Bakr was on his right, and I was on his left. When Allah defeated the disbelievers, the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, helped me onto a horse. When I was steady upon it, it reared with me, and I ended up on its neck. I called upon Allah, and He steadied me upon it. I thrust with my spear until the blood reached my armpit.
