Hadith 3:268

Suwayd ibn Sa'id narrated to us, Zakariyya ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Yazid al-Sahbani narrated to us, from 'Abd al-Mu'min, from Abu al-Mughirah, from 'Ali, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) sought me and found me sleeping in a water channel. He said, "Get up. I do not blame people for calling you Abu Turab (Father of Dust)." He said: He saw that I seemed to be affected by that in myself, so he said, "Get up, for by Allah, I will surely please you. You are my brother and the father of my children. You will fight for my Sunnah and absolve my responsibility. Whoever dies during my era, he is a treasure of Allah; whoever dies during your era has fulfilled his vow; and whoever dies loving you after your death, Allah will seal his end with security and faith as long as the sun rises or sets. And whoever dies hating you, he dies the death of the Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance) and will be held accountable for what he did in Islam.
