Hadith 3:286
Abu Musa narrated to us, Muhammad bin Marwan al-Uqayli narrated to us, from Umarah bin Abi Hafsah, from Ikrimah, who said: Ali said: When the people cleared away from the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) on the day of Uhud, I looked among the slain, but I did not see the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). I said: By Allah, he would not flee, and I do not see him among the slain. But I see that Allah became angry with us because of what we did, so He raised His Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace). There is nothing better for me than to fight until I am killed. So I broke the scabbard of my sword, then I charged at the people, and they opened up for me. Then, suddenly, I was with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) among them.
