Ubayd Allah narrated to us, Hisham ibn Abd al-Malik informed us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Ali ibn Mudrik, who said: I heard Abu Zur'ah narrating from Abdullah ibn Naji, from his father, who said: I heard Ali narrating from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said: "The angels do not enter a house in which there is an image, nor a person in a state of major ritual impurity (junub), nor a dog."
