Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 3:88

Ubayd Allah narrated to us, Sufyan ibn Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Layla, from Amr ibn Murrah, from Abdullah ibn Salamah, from Ali: That the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, was not prevented from reciting the Quran by anything, except that he be in a state of major ritual impurity (junub).
