Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 133:19

Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, Hammad bin Salamah narrated to us, from Ali bin Zayd, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "On the night I was taken on the Night Journey (Isra), I passed by a people whose lips were being cut with scissors of fire. I said: 'Who are these?' He said: 'These are the preachers from the people of the world, who used to command people to righteousness while forgetting themselves, even though they recited the Book. Do they not then use their reason?'"
