Hadith 133:21
'Abd al-A'la ibn Hammad al-Narsi narrated to us, Hammad narrated to us, from 'Ali ibn Zayd, that Mus'ab ibn al-Zubayr intended to [punish/execute] the leader of the Ansar, so Anas ibn Malik entered upon him. He said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying: 'Treat the Ansar well and kindly. Accept from their good-doers and overlook [the faults of] their wrongdoers.'" He said: So Mus'ab descended from his throne onto his carpet and pressed his skin or his cheek against it—or he said: he rolled upon it—and said: "The command of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is upon the head and the eyes. The command of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, is upon the head and the eyes." So he let him go.
