Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 244:13

'Amr ibn al-'As came to the house of 'Ali seeking him, but he did not find him. Then he returned and found him. When he entered, he spoke to Fatimah. 'Ali said to him, "I do not see your need for the woman." He said, "Yes, indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade us from entering upon those whose husbands are away."
