Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Shami al-Abadani narrated to us, Suwayd ibn Abd al-Aziz narrated to us, from Nuh ibn Dhakwan, from his brother Ayyub, from al-Hasan, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Shall I not inform you of the most generous? The most generous is Allah, the most generous. And I am the most generous of the children of Adam. And the most generous of them after me is a man who learned knowledge, then spread his knowledge; he will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection as a single nation. And a man who gave his soul in the way of Allah until he was killed."
