Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 152:1

'Abd al-Ghaffar narrated to us, 'Ali bin Mushir narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from 'Ubaydah al-Salmani, from 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Recite to me." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, shall I recite to you when the Qur'an was revealed to you?" He said: "I love to hear it from someone else." So I recited Surah al-Nisa' to him until I reached: "So how [will it be] when We bring from every nation a witness and We bring you, [O Muhammad], against these as a witness?" He signaled to me, so I looked at him, and his eyes were shedding tears (may Allah bless him and grant him peace).
