Continuation of the Musnad of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (RA)
Hadith 152:123
Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, Harun ibn Antara narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad, who said: Alqama and al-Aswad sought permission to enter upon Abdullah, and they had prolonged their sitting at his door until the middle of the day. He said: So I went out and sought permission for them, and he gave them permission. He said to them: "What is the matter with you that you did not enter?" They said: "We thought you were sleeping." He said: "I did not desire that you should think this of me. We used to consider the prayer of this hour equal to the prayer of the night, or something similar to the prayer of the night." Then he said: "Indeed, there will soon be rulers over you who will occupy themselves away from the time of prayer, so pray it at its time." Then he stood and prayed between him and him [the narrator], then he said: "Thus I saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, do."
