Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 152:160

Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from 'Ubaydah, from 'Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Recite to me." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, how should I recite to you when it was revealed to you?" He said: "I love to hear it from someone else." He said: So I recited Surah an-Nisa' to him until I passed by this verse: "So how [will it be] when We bring from every nation a witness and We bring you, [O Muhammad], against these as a witness?" He said: So I looked at him, and his eyes were shedding tears.
