Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 152:185

Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr narrated to us, Wahb ibn Jarir narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Humayd ibn Hilal, from Abu Qatadah, from Usayr ibn Jabir, who said: A windstorm stirred while we were with Abdullah [ibn Mas'ud], and Ibn Mas'ud became angry until we recognized the anger on his face. He said: "Woe to you! The Hour will not be established until inheritance is not divided and no one rejoices over spoils." Then he struck with his hand toward Ash-Sham and said: "An enemy will gather against the Muslims from here. They will meet, and a detachment will stipulate death [i.e., vow to fight to the death], and they will not return unless they are victorious. They will fight until the sun sets, and both sides are not victorious, and the detachment is annihilated. Then a detachment will stipulate death, and they will not return unless they are victorious. They will fight until the sun sets, and these and those return, and both sides are not victorious, and the detachment is annihilated. Then they will meet on the fourth day, and they will kill them and defeat them until the blood reaches the fetlocks of the horses. They will fight until the sons of the same father, who used to count one hundred, will be killed, and not a single man will remain from them. So what inheritance will be divided after this, and what spoils will one rejoice over? Then they will conquer Constantinople. While they are dividing the dinars with shields, a terror greater than that will come to them: that the Dajjal has appeared among your offspring. So they will cast away what is in their hands and advance, and they will send a vanguard of horsemen." The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "They are, on that day, the best horsemen on earth. I surely know their names, the names of their fathers, their tribes, and the colors of their horses."
