Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 152:189

Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr narrated to us, Yahya narrated to us, from Shu'bah and Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu 'Ubaydah, from his father. Sufyan did not attribute it to the Prophet (marfu'), while Shu'bah attributed it to the Prophet (marfu'). He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught us the Khutbat al-Hajah (the sermon of need). Sufyan said: "Inna al-hamda lillah" (Indeed, all praise is due to Allah). Shu'bah said: "Al-hamdu lillah, nahmaduhu wa nasta'inuhu" (All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him and seek His help). Sufyan said: "Na'udhu bihi" (We seek refuge in Him). Shu'bah said: "Na'udhu billahi min shururi anfusina, man yahdihillahu fala mudilla lahu, wa man yudlil fala hadiya lahu, wa ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluhu" (We seek refuge in Allah from the evils of our own selves; whoever Allah guides, there is none to misguide him, and whoever He misguides, there is none to guide him. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His messenger). Then he recites three verses: "Fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims," "And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs," "Fear Allah and speak a word that is right," up to His saying, "a great achievement." Then he speaks of his need.
