Hadith 152:321
Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Waki' narrated to us, Isra'il narrated to us, from Simak bin Harb, from Ibrahim, from Alqama and al-Aswad, from Abdullah, who said: A man came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I met a woman in the garden, so I drew her to myself, and I touched her, and I kissed her, and I did everything with her except that I did not have intercourse with her." He said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, remained silent regarding him. Then this verse was revealed: "Indeed, good deeds remove evil deeds. That is a reminder for those who remember." He said: So the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, called him and recited it to him. Umar said to him: "O Messenger of Allah, is this for him specifically, or for all the people?" He said: "No, rather for all the people."
