Continuation of the Musnad of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (RA)

تابع مسند عبد الله بن مسعود رضي الله عنه

Hadith 152:325

Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Yahya ibn Abi Bukayr narrated to us, al-Mas'udi narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn 'Amr ibn Ja'dah, from Abu 'Ubaydah, from 'Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) was asked about the Night of Decree (Laylat al-Qadr), so he said: "Which of you remembers the night of the reddish-white ones (al-Sahbawat)?" 'Abdullah said: I said, "I do, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah." And in my hand were some small dates that I was eating for the pre-dawn meal (suhur), and I was concealing myself from the dawn until the dawn rose, and that was the night of the twenty-seventh, if Allah wills.
