Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 152:336

'Abd al-Wahid ibn Ghiyath narrated to us, Abu 'Awanah narrated to us, from Yahya al-Jabir, from Abu Majidah, from 'Abdullah, who said: We asked our Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, about walking with the funeral procession. He said: "It is less than a trot (khabab). If it is good, it is being hastened toward, and if it is other than that, then away with the people of the Fire." The funeral procession is followed and does not follow. He is not of us, the one who precedes it.
