And from Ibrahim, from Alqamah, who said: Abdullah said: "May Allah curse the women who tattoo and those who have themselves tattooed, those who pluck their eyebrows, those who file their teeth for beauty, and those who change the creation of Allah." He said: This reached a woman from Banu Asad called Umm Ya'qub, who used to recite the Quran. She came and said: "What is this hadith that has reached me from you, that you have cursed the women who tattoo and those who have themselves tattooed, those who pluck their eyebrows, and those who file their teeth for beauty, the ones who change the creation of Allah?" Abdullah said: "Why should I not curse those whom the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed, and it is in the Book of Allah?" The woman said: "I have read what is between the two covers of the Mushaf, and I did not find it." He said: "By Allah, if you had read it, you would have found it." Then he said: "Whatever the Messenger gives you, take it; and whatever he forbids you, abstain from it." The woman said: "Indeed, I see some of this on your wife." He said: "Go and look." He said: So she entered upon the wife of Abdullah and did not see anything. She came to him and said: "I did not see anything." He said: "If that were the case, we would not have lived together."
