Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 152:75

Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Jarir narrated to us, from Mansur, from Salim ibn Abi al-Ja'd, from his father, from Ibn Mas'ud, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There is not one among you except that a companion from the jinn has been assigned to him." They said: "Even you, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "Even me, except that Allah helped me against him, so he submitted, and he does not command me except with good."
