Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 152:77

On the authority of Mansur, from Abu al-Duha, from Masruq, from Abdullah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), when he saw the people turning away, said: "O Allah, seven [years] like the seven [years] of Joseph." So a drought seized them that consumed everything, until they ate dead meat, hides, and carcasses. One of them would look toward the sky and see smoke due to hunger. Then Abu Sufyan came to him and said: "O Muhammad, you have come commanding obedience to Allah and the maintaining of kinship ties, yet your people have perished, so pray to Allah for them." He said: "Allah says: 'Then watch for the day when the sky will bring a visible smoke,' up to His saying: 'Indeed, We will take retribution.'"
