Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 154:111

Zuhayr narrated to us, Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, Yahya ibn Sa’id informed us, from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban, that his paternal uncle, Wasi’ ibn Habban, informed him that he was standing praying in the mosque, and Ibn Umar was facing him, leaning his back against the qiblah of the mosque. When Wasi’ finished [his prayer], he turned from his left toward Ibn Umar and sat with him. Ibn Umar said to him, "What prevented you from turning from your right?" He said, "Nothing, except that I saw you, so I turned toward you." Ibn Umar said, "You have done well, for some people say, 'If you are praying and you finish, turn from your right.'" Ibn Umar said, "If you are praying and you finish, turn if you wish from your right, and if you wish from your left." Ibn Umar said, "And other people say, 'When one sits for defecation, he should not face the qiblah nor Bayt al-Maqdis.' Yet, I climbed onto our house one day and I saw the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) attending to his need—Abu Ya’la doubted [the wording]—facing Bayt al-Maqdis."
