Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 154:173

Suwayd narrated to us, from Malik, from Nafi’, from Ibn ‘Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Whoever emancipates his share in a slave, and he possesses wealth that reaches the price of the slave, the slave shall be appraised at a fair value. He shall then give his partners their shares, and the slave shall be emancipated for him. Otherwise, only that which was emancipated of him shall be emancipated."
