Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 154:22

Abu Khaythama narrated to us, Hushaym ibn Bashir narrated to us, Abu Bishr informed us, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, who said: Ibn Umar passed by some youths of Quraysh who had set up a bird and were shooting at it, and they had made an agreement with the owner of the bird that every arrow that missed would belong to him. When they saw Ibn Umar, they dispersed. Ibn Umar said, "Who did this? May Allah curse the one who did this. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) cursed the one who takes anything that has a soul as a target."
