Ibrahim ibn al-Hajjaj narrated to us, Abd al-Aziz—meaning al-Qasmali—narrated to us, from al-A’mash, from Sa’d ibn Ubaydah, who said: Ibn Umar heard a man saying, "By my father." Ibn Umar said, "Do not swear by him, for Umar used to swear by him, but the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, 'Do not swear by him.'"
