Abu Khaythama and Dawud ibn ‘Amr narrated to us—Abu Ya’la said: I copied it from the copy of Abu Khaythama—they said: Sufyan narrated to us, he said: Sumayy narrated to us, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to seek refuge from the hardship of trial, the reaching of wretchedness, the evil of decree, and the gloating of enemies.
