Musnad Abu Ya'la al-Mawsili 161:37

And with his chain of narration, he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Indeed, when Allah loves a servant, He says: 'O Gabriel, I love so-and-so, so love him.' He said: Then Gabriel says to the inhabitants of the heavens: 'Indeed, your Lord loves so-and-so, so love him.' Then the inhabitants of the heavens love him. He said: And acceptance is placed for him on the earth. He said: And when He hates [a servant], it is the same as that."
