'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, Kathir ibn Hisham narrated to us, Ja'far ibn Burqan narrated to us, al-Zuhri narrated from 'Urwah, from 'A'ishah, who said: "Hafsah and I were fasting, and some food was presented to us that we desired, so we ate from it. Then the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came, and Hafsah—who was the daughter of her father—hastened to him and said: 'O Prophet of Allah, we were fasting today, but some food was presented to us that we desired, so we ate from it.' He said: 'Make up another day.'"
