'Abd al-A'la narrated to us, 'Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us, he said: I heard Yahya ibn Sa'id, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Qasim informed me that Muhammad ibn Ja'far ibn al-Zubayr informed him that 'Abbad ibn 'Abd Allah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to him, he heard 'Aishah saying: A man came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have been consumed (by fire/sin)." He asked him: "What is the matter with you?" He said: "I broke my fast during Ramadan." Then he sat down. A large basket, called an *araq*, containing dates was brought. He said: "Where is the one who was consumed?" The man stood up and he said: "Give this away as charity."
